Huib is Product Manager at Google, veteran in the browser industry and currently leading the effort towards WebRTC 1.0 in Chrome. Before joining Google he has been leading various engineer teams at browser maker Opera Software, where he stood for numerous of innovations in browser experience and worked with the engineering team integrating WebRTC in Opera’s browser stack. Huib is based in Sweden together with many of Google’s key engineers behind WebRTC. He’s native dutch and did his master thesis at Philips Research in the Netherlands. He is co-inventor of some patents from Philips Research that form the basis of multitouch (which Apple popularized in the iPhone). He had studied in Eindhoven Technical University, and holds a master in technology and society, information technology.
